Every year, Hindus greet the turn of winter into spring with a rush of color….in some areas, a massive geyser of color. They call their celebration the festival of Holi, and Hindus across India and throughout the world share prayer, camaraderie, special food, and a general sense of freedom as they splash special rose scented bags of colored chalk on each other and about the festival grounds.
Miss Beau Dunn and I were lucky enough to have the opportunity to go to The Sri-Sri-Radha Krsna Temple in Salt Lake City on Saturday to par-take in the most amazing Festival of Color. Usually celebrated on the last full moon day of the lunar month….. this one was a Krishna Birthday celebration…. And did not let us down. Good Bye Winter and hello Spring…. Let the colors fly!
