Humans are comforted by nature. In a study done by scientists at Harvard University, a group of test subjects were sent flowers and had much better results than a group that was sent a candle. The “Floral” group was less depressed and felt less anxiety compared to the candle group… showing us that vegetation elevates emotions.
According to Mehmet C. Oz, coauthor of “You: Stress less” “Without question, stress is mitigated by nature”. He suggests keeping a plant on your desk and fresh cut flowers on your dinner table to help keep stress at bay. What a better way to say “I love me” than to send yourself some beautiful flowers and watch as your stress declines.
